Mission accomplished! - CLINIC OPENING SCHEDULED FOR MARCH!
We know that everyone is waiting impatiently for the clinic to open but the renovations for the clinic are going to take longer than foreseen. This means the GTA's first high-volume spay/neuter program offered through the Ontario SPCA clinic in Newmarket is now scheduled to open in March 2009.
So we must ask for your patience over the next few months as we complete the many tasks necessary to open this program to the public. Staff recruitment and hiring is underway as we speak, and clinic staff are booked to go for training at the Humane Alliance in North Carolina in January. Please check back with us from time to time to see how things are progressing! Check out our reno pics...
WHILE YOU'RE WAITING...
Support our next round of fundraising for a "Neuter Scooter". The Neuter Scooter will be a shuttle bus that stops in designated locations to pick up pets for spay/neuter appointments. The Scooter will drop off pets at the same location later the same day. Our fundraising target for this campaign is much lower at only $30,000. So please make a tax-deductible donation* towards the Neuter Scooter, or send a cheque to Spaycentral Toronto, PO Box 38183, 550 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto ON M5N 3A9. And remember: no donation is too small!
Once open, the clinic will always need cleaning supplies, plastic bags, towels, blankets and many other useful items that can be bought at Zellers. So if you're not able to donate cash at this time, why not direct some of your HBC points from your HBC Rewards card to ours and we'll use them to buy supplies for the clinic! As of November 2007, 80,000 rewards points are worth $10. Find out how easy it is to donate your HBC points to Spaycentral.

The Humane Alliance is the U.S. organization that inspired Spaycentral and the Ontario SPCA to work together to bring to Canada the new, sustainable spay/neuter clinic model that will begin reversing pet overpopulation.
